Title: The Saltster Post by: panthershaun on January 15, 2013, 05:06:12 PM OK guy's and gal's, here is the plan... take one Panther M100 motor, one 1955 Panther main frame, mix in a gearbox and assorted wheels, throw into the mix a set of girder forks and BOOM we have the Saltster..
Mr Sumo of this parish is going to fabricate a rigid rear frame section for the bike to get me off to a solid start. I will be building this alongside finishing the Pickup so progress will be slow BUT it can't be that slow as I have a place booked for Pendine sands in June.. yup I'm going LSR racing... this is a big deal for me and I'm hoping it is going to be the therapy that I need to pull me through the darkness that is losing Hayley. All I can say is top man Sumo, hope I can repay you one day mate..... Title: Re: The Saltster Post by: The North on January 15, 2013, 05:23:15 PM  Sounds a briliant projrct Shaun, and to use it in that awesome historic place will be an experience that will take some beating. Looking foreward to this a lot.! 8)

Title: Re: The Saltster Post by: panthershaun on January 16, 2013, 09:45:38 AM cheers guy's, i don't stand a chance of a record but to participate is going to awsome, mind you I spent the evening in the company of Mr Paul Burnham and his mind is working full tilt on tuning ideas!!

Title: Re: The Saltster Post by: panthershaun on January 17, 2013, 09:10:46 AM first deviation from the plan, scored a set of BSA B40 forks from a mate yesterday (on loan for now) so on the lookout for a wire jap disc brake front wheel in 18 or 19 inch, prefer 18 if possible... also looks like I may be running Sumo's race engine for this years Pendine....
