Title: 1935 Chevy 1.5 ton Stake bed truck Post by: 57gmc on December 31, 2012, 11:31:01 AM Got this recently,
It was used in the film Captain America and sold at auction to someone that passed away and re auctioned recently. It came from North Dakota from a dealer that supplies Wyliez with his rusty imports. For the film it was painted, the seat recovered, engine and new tyres fitted. I need to fit indicators, brake lights and rewire and upgrade to 12v Subject to all the greasy parts being OK i can then register it with the DVLA It drove on and off a trailer but am a bit concerned about the rod brakes! Guess you're gonna keep it fairly stock? Could be good for promotion work. Title: Re: 1935 Chevy 1.5 ton Stake bed truck Post by: phunkie hiboy on December 31, 2012, 07:40:59 PM What a lovely old truck. Nice to see something different to Fords for a change.

Title: Re: 1935 Chevy 1.5 ton Stake bed truck Post by: 57gmc on December 31, 2012, 08:49:01 PM Tony, I will have some sign writing on it in the future but feel I should keep it stock looking but with some upgrades in the future ( brakes, gearbox, electrics etc )
Spanners, it was on ebay to get interest in the auction at Brooklands only. Title: Re: 1935 Chevy 1.5 ton Stake bed truck Post by: Archie on December 31, 2012, 09:08:50 PM You'll fit lots of bobbers in the back of that.

That's your second vehicle from the Captain America fleet isn't it? You planning your own sequel? Title: Re: 1935 Chevy 1.5 ton Stake bed truck Post by: hunter on December 31, 2012, 11:42:43 PM "SHEEP"

Like the sound of that plan, think you have a real nice keeper there. I remember when the auction came up early 2011 http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=8958.msg104789#msg104789 This link should show all the motors that were for sale http://screenrant.com/captain-america-movie-cars-auction-pauly-98692/all/1/ Title: Re: 1935 Chevy 1.5 ton Stake bed truck Post by: Manky Monkey on January 01, 2013, 10:22:03 PM Mr & Mrs GMC in another of their fleet at the Phoenix Green New Years Day meet this morning.
