Title: More ITN hotrod film footage.
Post by: Manky Monkey on October 08, 2006, 08:35:52 AM
I was searching the 'net for film posters & came across this.
A piece on the old "Opus" kit cars of the late 60s. The narrator says kits are available from 2 -300 quid, but the original catalogue says the cheapest version was a staggering 90 quid!
Looks like Longleat house in the background. Can anyone identify the engine used in the finished jalopy?

Can't remember who used to make Opuses. Jago maybe?
Love those old newsreels. It's amazing how dated things look with the benefit of hindsight isn't it  :)
