Simple words -but staggeringly important. On the 20th of July 1969 Neil Armstrong became the first man, the first of our species, to leave the confines of our planet & step onto another World. Over 40 years later, there have only been a handful of others, following in those footsteps. There are those that still don't believe it happened -& those who find it mind blowing that it did. I vividly remember my parents spending a night in sleeping bags on the living room floor to watch it happen, (in the days when homes only had one TV). Returning to Earth he went on to a quite retirement, "basking in obscurity" as he put it. He described himself simply as "a nerdy engineer". But did he go to the moon? ...
