Sorry , I do not know what vehicle your missing vacuum carb came off . Maybe some of the car lads on here will know . Title: Re: robin carburetor Post by: cherrywidow on May 26, 2012, 09:38:15 PM thanks for picks, old one on trike is the same as the second pick, all the information i have on new one is - 1,25" su reliant carb.
Title: Re: robin carburetor Post by: fifer on May 26, 2012, 10:34:15 PM Some of the Reliant economy models had a vacuum take off on the inlet manifold which went straight to a vacuum gauge on the dash .
Some Minis have a carb spacer which has a vacuum take off . Maybe some other makes as well . I have not got a clue as to whether the following info is of any signifigance . On my carbs with the vacuum pipe there is a number cast on the carb body just along from the pipe ; AUC 82 . Check the original and the new one . . PS ; Does it have a wee alloy tag with a number on it attached to one of the floatbowl screws ? . . Title: Re: robin carburetor Post by: cherrywidow on May 27, 2012, 09:43:53 PM the new one has not got a tag, and the new one has AUC870 on it ???
Title: Re: robin carburetor Post by: fifer on May 27, 2012, 10:14:04 PM Looks like it is possibly from an early Mini twin carb setup :(
