Title: robin carburetor

hi there got an 850 1990 robin reliant trike, just got a recon carb but it has no pipe hole for the advance retard, am i a doughnut and got the wrong one  :-\ ??? .

The carb vacuum pipe should be in the same place as the one in the link below  :)

Here is a pic of an older carb with the vacuum pipe showing .
Sorry , I do not know what vehicle your missing vacuum carb came off .
Maybe some of the car lads on here will know .

thanks for picks, old one on trike is the same as the second pick, all the information i have on new one is - 1,25" su reliant carb.

Some of the Reliant economy models had a vacuum take off on the inlet manifold which went straight to a vacuum gauge on the dash .
Some Minis have a carb spacer which has a vacuum take off .
Maybe some other makes as well .
I have not got a clue as to whether the following info is of any signifigance .
On my carbs with the vacuum pipe there is a number cast on the carb body just along from the pipe ; AUC 82 .
Check the original and the new one .

PS ; Does it have a wee alloy tag with a number on it attached to one of the floatbowl screws ?

the new one has not got a tag, and the new one has AUC870 on it  ???

Looks like it is possibly from an early Mini twin carb setup  :(

thanks fifer ;D, have been told now by a neibour that there is a bloke not 10 miles from me that deals with reliants, will go and see if he can help me, cheers for all the help :D :D
