brake disc £130 friggin quid led strips and led flasher unit Speedo, can i get a for or 5 inch tank mountable speedo anywhere?....NO Arghh Yoda Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 18, 2005, 09:20:18 PM Ooh, show us yer LED strips matey! Might be interested in those for my own machine. Surface mounted or flush? How deep are the units?
Have you tried car speedos? "Real Steel" advertise on the inside front cover of Custom Car magazine. Lots of speedos in their ad. 01895-440505 or sales@realsteel.co.uk Speedy Cables will make you up an adaptor/recalibration unit to suit. Will dig their number out if you need it. There are places in Motorcycle News that advertise one-off discs made to order. Might work out cheaper than a standard replacement if you know the dimensions. Anybody know of a dirt cheap Moggy Minor pick up or van for my next project? Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: yoda on August 18, 2005, 09:29:09 PM i have bought a couple of these in amber
(http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/images/6Led%20Block.jpg) to replace the inners of these (which are stop and tail) (http://www.jwmotorcycles.com/cobra.jpg) I Hope it works 8) ::) Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 18, 2005, 09:35:47 PM Me too & want another one. Not a single piccie of mine, but was matt black, fat chrome Weller 8 spokes, Fiat Mirafiori 1600 Twin Cam motor with 5 speed box, fibreglass flip front, Marina disc brakes, E type Jag rear coil-over shocks, roll top steel pick-up body & tail gate, polished wooden deck, Stainless 9 gallon beer barrel tank, Austin Allegro rear seat as bench seat, blue Paisley print door panels & head lining, stupidly tiny Mountney steering wheel...Ahh, happy memories!
My big brother's got a couple of Rover V8 motors sat in his workshop & I hear Mr Angle Grinder calling me again. MMMotors logo on the doors, race headers poking out the wheel arches, seriously low roof chop, new 2" tubular chassis. Anyone want to buy my Triumph? Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 18, 2005, 09:43:42 PM Midget engine? -Pah! A mere child's toy! Wonder if everyone has a Moggy lurking in their murky past?
If I can find a cheap donor it'll make a great build series for the site. Did someone mention cheap donuts?! Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 18, 2005, 09:54:06 PM I was in my late 20s & getting divorced. Maybe that's WHY I was getting divorced?
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 08:41:50 AM Just found a nice little pick-up on Ebay.
3.400 quid. Harr, ha, ha! I don't think so. I'm looking for something in the 3 pounds 50 price range. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 08:51:47 AM 60 or 70!! What are you doing with 'em? Banger racing?! Think I've owned about half a dozen cars in my entire life -& 3 of those were Moggies.
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 09:03:12 AM Daily by the sound of it. I change my socks less frequently than that! :o
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 09:14:18 AM My footwear has a certain charm all it's own. I like to think of them as "mature".
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 09:18:16 AM An "interesting" bouquet.
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 09:20:35 AM 770 quid on Ebay. Still way out of my price range, especially as I plan to cut it up!
I had one the same colour as this -with squeeky back doors that drove me mad on long trips. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 19, 2005, 09:31:29 AM Same here, one of each. Belonged to the owners' club & luvved 'em -the cars, not the owners. My pick-up was built from a van with the body removed. First van was bought from a stall holder at a car boot sale. Went to the sale & bought a car boot! My saloon was an ex Police Panda car -no heater, (the space was used for the Police radio), a zip across the headlining originally used to access the lights on the roof & the doors resprayed in a different shade of blue to the body. Pandas had white doors & their blue wasn't the standard Morris one. There's one on Ebay "For Restoration" -wonder if it's my old one!
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 20, 2005, 12:31:35 AM I fancy something along these lines, in matt black or mint green with faded, peeling MMMotors logo on the doors.
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 10:11:49 AM My brother emailed me a couple more pick up shots from RuffRodders.com -not a dodgy Only Fools & Horses site, but stuffed full of very radical street rods ..err, dude. Definitely not built for speed bumps! Very cool though.
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 10:14:05 AM Like this one.
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 10:47:49 AM Glancing in my rear view mirror & seeing you bearing down on me in that is a terrifying thought! Yeah, would definitely suit you!
There's a link to this site & several other rod sites in the...links, section by the way. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: yoda on August 21, 2005, 12:02:06 PM what about one of these

Yodie, you're weird. Very weird. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 07:32:45 PM Careful! I'm reaching for my editing pencil Wizzy.
Yeah, I very, very nearly bid on a V8 Rover engined Moggy "sports saloon" on Ebay this week. In Newbury, (15 miles away), for 330 quid. I really want a "ratrod" though. Something beaten up, primered & sooo cool. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 07:53:26 PM Yeah, think it finished today.
Wondered if it was one of Cookie's projects. I'll be taking a big bag of shiny pennies to the Ace Cafe pick-up party & hoping someone has one they'd like to sell to me VERY cheaply. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 08:17:32 PM Way beyond my meagre means. Don't want to spend lots of dosh, only to cut it up & start again!
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 08:19:07 PM It was nice, but I want something "RuffRodder" esque!
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 08:20:30 PM .
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 08:24:03 PM Already got my trike & bike, just want something beaten up to have fun with.
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 21, 2005, 08:33:48 PM Fun, but never beaten by life's rigours. Defiant to the end!

WAVES did someone call for a nice sensible sane well brought up young lady? Shirley Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 22, 2005, 08:28:49 AM You weirder than she is. :o
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 22, 2005, 08:55:02 AM Just ordered a copy of the latest issue of "Classic Van & Pick-Up". They're running a competition to win a '68 Moggy pick up!
It must be fate. It shall be mine. Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 22, 2005, 09:21:27 PM You mean I might not win it? Can't you put a good word in for me with your fellow journos?
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 24, 2005, 03:27:46 PM It is -well they're the ones who took my money anyway. If I don't win it now I've paid 3 quid for the mag I shall be most upset >:(
Title: Re: more trike updates Post by: Manky Monkey on August 24, 2005, 03:43:55 PM Is there such a thing as IMpractical poultry then?
