Arrived half an hour before gates opened and just a few cars in the public car park, normally by this time in previous years you would be queueing to get a parking space, this year we parked 20yds from entrance. Once inside clubs had made some good displays but again less jumble stalls, outside the enthusiast could bring their classics into the show and park up. By midday heavy rain came and put a dampener on the show so just a few photos.

Title: Re: 33rd Bristol Classic Car Show on 21-22/04/12 Post by: JayJay on April 27, 2012, 02:30:52 AM did you see justine there jj No, I don't think I have ever seen her there. The cars in the outdoor area were very mixed. I wanted to find someone in charge to ask them what their definition of "Classic" was because many of them were just old modern cars and not that good a condition either. Others, were modern "posh" cars, the type their owners think are special but not many others do. There were some lovely ones there like the Apache which Rick photographed. It was gorgeous. Great condition, interesting and attractive. Lots of interest in it and a popular focus for photographers. I probably missed some other gems though because I couldn't be bothered to walk around all the crap stuff to find them. I think this lack of quality control is happening a lot lately. Is it because shows are finding it hard to get classics/rods to turn up because of fuel costs and are having to allow all those that apply in to make up the numbers? What do the rest of you think? It will be interesting to see what happens at Basingstoke next month.
