We tried the tank on just to see what it looked like,This is a modern triumph tank, looks better in the flesh, and we tried the rear wheel in,so that i could weld in the top and bottom crossbrace. Title: Re: Not mine but i'm building it. Post by: Tony oily bike on November 22, 2013, 08:39:24 AM Hi Hunter, bike's looking sweet..........
The rear wheel looks Harley (Iron head sporty maybe?) Is that a Triumph bolt-on 7" brake drum by chance??? Question if it is, with the chain aligned, did you have to offset/change the rim-to-hub to ensure the tyre was correctly aligned? (ie was the rim offset OK as it was?) I've heard some folk move the engine to the left a bit to allow wider tyres to clear the chain, just wondering how this all lined up. Title: Re: Not mine but i'm building it. Post by: hunter on November 23, 2013, 08:25:11 PM Thanks Andy,I have actually handed it back the the owner for him to complete.
Tony not sure what rim is off,And yes trump hub. As for alignment the sprocket has a spacer behind it. Title: Re: Not mine but i'm building it. Post by: Tony oily bike on November 23, 2013, 08:26:50 PM Thanks
