Behind the scenes footage of Steve McQueen & the making of "Bullitt" -possibly the most famous car chase film ever?

What a great video!  ;)

Just out of interest, the guy riding/crashing the motorcycle during the chase scene was McQueen's mate, Bud Ekins (who did the jump in The Great Escape. Bud was also involved in the car stunts in The Blues Brothers)

So who remembers the 1997 Ford Puma launch TV advert 'featuring' Steve McQueen?

Out of interest, the pursuit rider who has to do a u-turn (3 mins 40 secs) was also McQueen

The camera man sat in the boot of the baddies' Dodge Charger amused me.
Yup, remember the Puma ad. Very clever. There's a similar one featuring Lewis Hamilton the formula One driver, racing McQueen -it's an ad for watches.
Recently saw the Clint Eastwood film where he plays an out of town sherrif who has to collect a prisoner from a big city -Coogan's Bluff? Features a chase between 2 Triumphs across a city park.
I love all those 60s films. Everything, & everyone just looks so much more stylish.
