Took a chilly ride over to Jacks mid morning, saw Dave (Renegade) there as soon as I rolled in.
Good selection of motors, and some coming and going as the morning moved on.

Yup, one of GoForest's VDub beach buggy crowd.
Not been to Jack's yet. Looks like a nice venue. The 10 second Dodge Dart was at the Phoenix New Years Day meet & sounded gorgeous.

Love the hearse!  Nearly bought one before I got my Maestro, would be ideal for camping!  I'm still considering getting one.

It used to be a station wagon, until they bought the roof fixtures.  ;)
Belongs to Sonia, who can be seen at many a hotrod meet, taking photographs. It carries her disabled badge on the dash, but it's usually CJ who appears in photos of it because of his habit of smoking the tyres in spectacular fashion all over the place.  :)

The Dodge has an LPG conversion and is owned by a mate of mine.

He's also a two-wheel fan and runs a very clean, quick, stretched and raked Z1R Kawasaki (taken out to 1300cc or so, with air-shifter) on the strip and the Brighton Speed Trials.

That's interesting. We plan to fit an LPG kit, (liquid petroleum gas), to Taz's Charger when it's finished to make the fuel consumption a little more affordable -6 1/4 litres of V8 returns about 10 miles per gallon!

Lovely car. My missus has a '69 Charger. We've been throwing money at it, restoring it, for the last couple of years. She likes it's curves, but personally I prefer the boxiness of the less aerodynamic models! More aggressive looking.
There's a guy in the next village to us building a Dart superstox replica.

Just had a word with my informant on the day, and either he did say something about a 10 second run then which he doesn't say now (see how I've subtlety shifted the blame...) OR its my memory..............  ::)  ::)  which has happened before (I think).

What's your first event gonna be, a Break What Ya Built Run What Ya Brung or a Test N tune maybe?

Hi Tony 1st outing was going to be at the blackbush event that was supposed to be starting this Jan not sure what is happening with that now thought it was  to good to be true a local drag strip what ever next so not quit sure at the moment cheers Clive.

Hadn't heard anything about Blackbushe running events....... what was it suppossed to be?

I raced at the last ever Blackbush event,
Got the best bike performance award at that one I THINK.The old memory ain't so good. ;D

Think I went to the Blackbushe drags (as a wee nipper of a spectator) about 8 times.

Never been the same since........  ::)

Blackbushe also had the UK's first '2CV Cross' event which I went along to watch, great entertainment!

There was a big web site advertising car cruise every last Saturday of the month at Blackbush £5.00 per car plus run wot you brung action driffting and other attractions seemed to be going ahead  but they didnt have planning permission for the drag racing just would have been to convenient if you search for Blackbush car cruise should find it but I am not sure what is happening now.I think Odium air field are doing something again this spring so will take the car there anyway see you out and about soon.

Was in touch with the Odiham guys only last week about their 1/4 mile event....... which they said is on for this year, so keep an eye on the web.
