Some of the chairs waiting at the start of a section.
These have a rider and very trusting companion standing on the sidecar part, ready to move their weight wherever's needed to try and successfully tackle each section.

Yet again I didn't make it -sorry Tony. Half expected to see Shaun at Loon's workshop afterwards. Did you see him Tone? For a moment I thought the porta loo was attached to the bike! Did that Zephyr used to be green? Used to be one locally here in Basingstoke. Love the black Matchless. I've no desire to ride one competitively, but vintage trials bikes do look cool.

Another pic, this is a 1952, 350cc NSU OSL, the rider coming from Germany. Its unusual in that it the only OHC bike I saw at the event.

This bike's a 500cc Triumph twin, but the motor's a rare GP.
These engines started life as a wartime airfield-based transportable generator engine for aircraft. The all alloy motor was later found to pretty good as a race engine. Easiest way to spot one is to look for the parallel exhaust ports (others are splayed).

well, time warp time, I had an NSU 250 supermax, lovely fast bike for its time, plus I had a Tiger 100C, all alloy engine, pre unit, don't remember those parralel ports on the one I had, but it was a cafe racer so could of been built from parts. Great pictures, thanks for sharing them.
