I've been thinking for some time that may be part of my problems.  Just not sure what to do about it - doctors don't usually like it if you say "I think I might have......"

its seems to have taken the doctors a bloody long time to diagnose it with me
they said it could be triggered by truama  or close family bereavment

thinking about it i can trace it back to a bad accident i had when i was hit by a machine at work ,,a good while ago ,, dont remember suffering with the symptoms before then ,,

I've had it a couple of years Mike, basically it's a pyscho neurological disorder. There is nothing wrong with you as such but your mind and body don't do what they are supposed to do or what you want them to do. For me it was losing my mum, my daughters and my missus in a 5 year period, it creeps up on you. No known cure.

You've had a fair amount of trauma over the last few years Mike!

BG,Don't be afraid to mention it to your doctor,In the link above it Say's it is very difficult to diagnose.
I will certainly be speaking to mine in a couple of weeks on my next appointment,
Because over the years i have complained About every symptomlisted in that link,
And have been diagnosed with more than half of them,But have suffered with all of them,
And yes Mike trauma is the switch,And i have had my Fair share of that,
I have lost a lot of friends in motorcycle accidents,In one instance a group of us were out on a ride when a good mate was two places in front of me when he lost control in a road works,And hit a oncoming car,
He died in my arms, Something that will live with me for the rest of my time.
Anyway sorry for the morbid stuff but hay that's life.

I was told by my doctor that i may develop it when i was diagnosed with osteo arthritis seven years ago and i think its here because its now not only my joints that are permanently painful.

You shouldn't really start to see any difference for at least a couple of weeks Mike. Check on this link whether you are taking or have taken recently , any of the drugs that can cause an interaction.

http://www.drugs.com/cymbalta.html

I have to say that I've taken drugs that are used to also treat fibromyalgia and I simply did not get on with them at all. My mates was on a cocktail that would have knocked me for 6 ( and I use Fentanyl , an artificial  morphine that is 10 times stronger than heroin!). He's recently come off of all of his .He still has the same sympthoms that he had to start with and now uses natural methods and dietary control to deal with his illness.
