Help! Came back from holiday today to find my galaxy offside rear caliper dripping brake fluid. Nice! So took a look this aft and the disks are also goosed, so decided to fit new calipers and disks. One small snag, I cant get the handbrake cable boss to release from the calipers. Look like they should just pop out now I have released the clips but no joy. left them soaking with WD40. Any suggestions?

As you say they should just pull out once the clips have been removed.
Might be slightly easier to work on if you remove the actuating lever (one nut) and the cable bracket (allen head screw) from the caliper.
If the rear cables are looking iffy, it might be a good time to replace them A. pair of new rear cables should cost about £25 if you shop around.

Thanks Olds. Took your advice. New cables, calipers, slides, pads and disks fitted. Stops much better now Smiley
