More like £140,000 minimum. less in Bridgwater but it's not the place I choose to live and work.

I know I'm being a bit pickky but if I have to stay there 10 years I want to like it and have what I need ie GARAGE/WORKSHOP.

Back to Thread I now have all the stock steel I need for the forks so as soon as I am able I will continue the build if I have a garage it will be sooner rather than later.
In the meantime I'll get as much ready that I can ready. including my adjustable headstock on a stick (mock headstock on a base to get everything just right)  bolted to the floor.

This is how i would like them to turn out.

Property down here in Torquay is a mad price, just down the road a 4 bed bungalow with dormer conversion is on the market for 265k, but it needs around 60k spending on it just to bring it up to standard Shocked. An old lady has lived there for years andd neglected the place. My kids don't stand a chance. Even a two bed terraced is around 170K  Shocked and thats not in a particularly nice area either.

Where did that 13mm spanner go then?

Hi Guys, can anyone help.............................PLEASE?
I picked up the links for the leading link forks today, 10mm CDMS, Yipee, famous last words, cos I asked my mate to make the holes for the axle 16.8mm when I checked the holes are actually 17.6mm. Will this be okay or do I need a rethink and new links. Strange thing though, the holes for the bolts to hold the links to the legs are exact size, 12mm.
I would appreciate comments (helpful  Grin Grin Grin) from you peeps who are more experienced than me.
Thanks a bunch

Assuming that you are building bike style and the links are clamped axially, I don't think it would matter too much, clearance for a bolt of 17mm (16.Cool would be about 0.2mm over and yours is 0.6mm.

I would try it and if it all bolts up tight with no play in the assembly should be ok.

If there's any play, get the links machined out bigger and put a sleeve in to take up the slack.

a few pics of the progress so far Grin Grin May have to bush the links though Sad Sad
The inserts are button welded, 12mm holes, in 8 places. Should be enough, methinks.
