Emailed to me recently by Brock, a photo gallery of shots from the American Mooneyes Christmas do. Some gorgeous machinery to drool over.

I was there. It was very good, and oddly enough I'm just sorting through my own pictures of it for the next issue.

We took the pics of Flap's trike for you bloomin' ages ago Mistress Wizz. STILL waiting for him to write the accompanying words. I've threatened to ghost-write them for him & tell the world what a fabulous guy that Manky bloke is.

You did indeed, although I now have to find what Stu did with the CD while I was away. I knew I should have hidden everything...

That was just a preview CD taken on my little digi camera.
Flap's, (hopefully), got the slide film tucked safely away somewhere.
You'd think he'd be eager to taste his little bit of BSH fame wouldn't you?
Did I mention my trike'll be prettier than his?

Once or twice...  ;) Tell Mr Flap there's a loaf of fresh-baked bread for him when he's done his words. And maybe some cake...

Nope. Most people only get a couple of chocolate peanuts. Tell him he can have his choice of what bread he wants - crusty white, multigrain, ciabatta, sundried tomato and basil, parmesan, garlic...

Ciabatta for me please Wizz, & a turin of freshly made soup to go with it.

A turin? You want a whole Italian city full of soup? I can only supply a meagre tureen I'm afraid.

What sort of soup?

With my sore face in mind, I've just made a lovely pan full of turkey soup with lots of veg cooked in it - spuds, parsnips, celery etc.  Yummy!  And easy to eat....

That sounds good (and I'm not a soup person, it being mobile food and all). How is the abscess, Bobbi?

Getting better at last, after a change of antibiotic and a visit to the doc for stronger painkillers.

Managed to get to see a dentist at the practice where I'm registered, he didn't seem particularly interested but I finally convinced him that I do know what pain is, this was PAIN!  He wanted me to keep on with the original antibiotic which hadn't even begun to touch it after 2 days, but prescribed another which is working.

My GP told me the abcess would need draining to prevent re-occurrence, and an X-ray to see what the problem is - but I really doubt whether my NHS dentist is going to co-operate.  If I can even communicate what I mean - he's greek, and the one I saw on Weds was Spanish.  Doesn't make it any easier.  Can't afford to go private tho.

Huge sympathy. I loathe going to the dentist having managed to find every bad one in the country, or so it seems. A couple of years ago I managed to find a local one who would take me as an NHS patient, and they were appalling. Eventually I had to give in and go to a private practice in Suffolk where I found a great dentist whose nurse is a BSH subscriber and who managed to more or less reconstruct my mouth without resorting to crowns (yet at least).

You can understand why people take cheap flights to Poland for dental treatment though.

Potato & leek.
Hi Bobbi. My condolences Hon.
I love soups & broths. Perfect after a Winter's day trudging the streets.
Thick & tasty, like me, is best.

I am very good at potato and leek soup. With lots of fresh herbs, thick enough to stand your spoon up in, and a swirl of cream on the top.

It tends to leak out of Jiffy bags, especially when you lot kick it round the sorting office. I'll organise a soup/ciabatta mercy dash at some point! x
