He did show them to me but to be honest i prefer what is already on the Charger at the moment and that £500 would go to better use like buying metal to weld up the rust.

Can't remember which models were which right now, but it just occurred to me: the A pillar off of a similar 4 door Dodge/Plymouth should be identical to the 2 door piece. Seems to me the Charger was a 'B' body [Charger, Roadrunner, Satellite etc.] , so any 4 door B body A pillar might be the same, and less valuable and expensive. Also could be the same for several years of B bodies until a major body change, maybe '65-'69 or later. Wagons should be the same too. That gives lots more options for locating parts.

If by some chance you found a much less desirable model of the same general vintage that could be a base for a bunch of donor parts.

That's a thought. Yes it is a B body. Think I will have to do some digging around on that one.

Right getting excited now as we go and collect the Charger tomorrow, (Tuesday 3rd), yey.
When we were at Gary's picnic at Avon Park on Saturday we bought our first item for the engine.

Smiley We bought the dipstick from one of the race teams at the drag races. They were advertising a list of second hand parts for sale but it looks brand new. 5 quid. They were for sale at the Billing rod show on Sunday for 10. See, we're saving money already. Smiley

Well, D Day's arrived -Dodge Day.
We're off to Colchester in Essex to pick up Taz's Charger. First we've got to collect a rental long wheelbase Transit van to carry all the loose parts, (doors, wings, glass, interior, engine parts etc).
Scottie, driver/owner of the Tiki Munki drag car, is picking up the main rolling chassis on his recovery truck, so we're meeting him there.
Tune in again later, dear reader, to find out how we got on.  Tongue

We are finally home and totally shattered. Got the car home without damaging it any more than it already is. Will post photos when we can summon up the energy to do so. Scottie is the top of our recomendation list that's for sure. The car didn't budge a single mm the whole journey. Grin Grin Grin Grin

On another note I HATE THE F******* M25. It took 3 hours to go to Essex and over 5 hours to get home. A lorry cab had burst into flames and ground the whole West side of the motorway to a halt which included us  Angry
