well it seams that you can still buy oil branded as ,silkolene,, but the works in belper has long gone and over 90% of silolene oil was reclaimed and re-refined,,

so i dont know where it come,s from now or what it is wether its 100%new or partly reclaimed

there will/must be a monkey somewhere that doe,s know



and how many other old oil company,s can we remember ? ? ?

Dont know if its true but i was informed when i raced landrovers that one of the few pure virgin oils was/is Valvoline racing I was also told thats why Duckhams and others are green because they are not virgin oil and the colour helps disguise this  Smiley

Can't answer that,But i can say that silkolene made a R grade aswell,Coz i got some inershed.

Can't answer that,But i can say that silkolene made a R grade aswell,Coz i got some inershed.


yep i remember ther R grade used it years ago    when i could get oil free  from a works sorce  Wink Wink Wink

Used to sprint a Triumph 650 twin on Methanol with R.
Straight through pipes too, so not only did it sound good, it smelt even better...
