Is it connected to a tee piece on the brake pipe from master cylinder to disc brakes?

Just checked mine there vw calliper's not sure on model 10x1mm
so yours must be a banjo bolt type

If this is the second time it failed I would consider changing to a in line one and keep it tucked out the way

I have a similar one fitted to the front master cylinder. It's important to clip the cable to something, as close as possible to the switch (without pulling on it) to prevent the cable from vibrating.
