"Al's Gasser" -there's a name from the past. Is that ol' Pop still out there? When & where was that shot taken Pete? Still waiting for you to dig out some of your old faded drag racing piccies for us. Email 'em to Yodie & we'll make up a page for 'em.
First meet I ever went to was at Blackbushe airport, just down the road from me here in Basingstoke. Saw "Pinball Wizard" there. Another classic Pop. Rainbow & I were at the Nostalgia Drags at Avon Park -sorry, "Shakespeare County Raceway" as they insist on calling it now, & there was the Wizard sat in the carpark, looking as good as new. Some cars just go on forever don't they.

My first car was one of those - except mine was the posh version, the Anglia!
Sidevalve engine if I remember rightly, three forward gears, no synchro on first, vacuum operated wipers that died every time you went up a hill, and the dipswitch was a foot button on the floor.  It went quite well tho, my dad had it up to 70 once, that was quite quick in them far-off days!

But it started pumping oil out on top of the engine so I part-exed it for a Moggy Minor!

Moggy Minors -the cutting edge of vehicle technology! I had 3 of them over 4 years, a van, a pickup & an ex Police Panda car saloon. Belonged to the owners' club & loved 'em -the cars, not the owners!
Pops are THE quintiscential, (big word -impressed huh?), British custom car aren't they. A perfect shape. As soon as I can afford to buy some bits for my own rod project, I'll be using Pop Brown's parts catalogue. They specialise in Pops -suprisingly enough.

 Cheesy
Looked at that for ages after I typed it, thinking it didn't look right, but couldn't be bothered to Spellcheck it!
