Sorry people but I'm havin' a bit of a moan and you're a captive audience.

When I bought my Speedmaster, back in October 2004, I had a pair of loud exhausts fitted.  Very nice they were too.  However, the chrome has started peeling off and they have gone rusty.  As they were fitted to a new bike, me, the dealer and Triumphs own parts dept were under the impression that the 2 year guarantee covered them.  Not so say Triumphs warranty dept.  1 year only on all extras.  They admit verbally that they have had a problem with these exhausts but the miserable b'stards wont do anything for me Angry  Angry  Angry

Here's something else for ya.  Rocket 3 wheels.  Apparrently there's a problem with the laquer peeling due to corrosion on the wheel.  Instead of fixing the problem, what do they do? they stop laquering the wheels!!!  Pity the poor sod that has to polish those every weekend.

Is this the start of Triumphs new found popularity and reputation being destroyed by moronic management decisions Undecided

Ooh! You not a happy Bunny are you! Personally I've never owned a brand new bike in my life so just accept a certain level of corrosion. The newest I've ever had was my Speed Triple which was 5 years old. Would be a shame if New Triumph ends up going the way of Old Triumph. Have you tried any of the owners club forums to see if it's a common problem & maybe get advice from others on how they tackled the company about it?

I've been on the receiving end of Becks' right hook a couple of times over the years but it was administered in a different spirit I'm sure. Wink
Mmm, how about a long, stretched Swedish style hardtail chop? 20 inch over Tolle forks, sprung solo seat, flat drag bars, huge 15 inch car rim on the back -& long straight through drag pipes? Or a trike -we haven't triked a Trumpet yet.
Or trade up to that Ural. Cheesy

Ok, I guess your particular trumpet might be the exception!

Just had the write up for this 100rwbhp Bonnie emailed to me. Belongs to the landlord of The Dove at Micheldever, between Basingstoke & Winchester. He's one of the old Basingstoke bike crowd from my teens & the pub is one of Stevie's regular music venues.
Featurette in the Motors section as soon as I can nag the long suffering Yodie into doing it.  Smiley

Been doing the homework Yodie set me. Almost mastered creating photo galleries now, but not quite sure how to actually post them on the site. I'll get there ..eventually.

Think that's more of a fetish than a liking mate.
I've always been the exception. "You've all worked very hard -except Andy". "You can all take the rest of the day off -except Andy". "Free cakes for all! -except Andy".  Angry
I guess Carl's Bonnie is what they mean by "Blowing your own Trumpet"?
