Nothing but the best here! You going to the Rod & Chop show in Twickenham on the 17th September? Or the HotRod Drags at Avon Park on the 17 & 18th? Both good dos. Both will have plenty of decent motors to whet your appetite.

I got my copy of Classic Van & Pick-Up in the post today. Bought it online specifically to enter this month's competition to win a Moggy Minor pick up. Turns out you have to collect two months worth of tokens. What a rotten swizz! Seriously thinking of building a nice little rat rod instead now though. Anyone know how those guys go about registering their bitsers?

The doors, wings & bonnet are all available in fibreglass -or they were when I was in the owners' club. I only wanted the cab bodyshell & the registration document. Starting to lean towards a proper rod now though. That brown roadster was very nice at the Nats wasn't it. Or the matt black coupe in my piccies in the custom show. Something very, very basic & super cool.
Sell the Triumph, buy a cheap runabout bike, finish the trike & play with a rod project. Hmm!

Think I'm slowly killing the Trumpet. Well, rapidly killing it actually. Been doing a lot of high speed motorway riding lately. One 130mph run down to Southampton too many. It's starting to get very rattly. Just can't afford to maintain it. Too complicated for home maintainance, too expensive to put into a dealership. Always knew it was beyond my finances to keep in good condition. Paid 3 1/2 grand for it. Probably worth 2 1/2 now, a year later. HAS been a hell of a lot of fun, but maybe best to offload it before it starts to cost me serious money -or my licence -or worse.

G'night loopy people.
Off you go then. Don't worry about me. I'll clean this lot up while you curl up in your cosy beds. Look at the state of this place, crumbs everywhere, & what on earth is that stain? No, I don't want to know.
