I recently sold my old Nikon -had it nearly 20 years. A lovely piece of kit. Battered but very well used. Was just too big & bulky to lug about though -like carrying a housebrick around with you, & no use for the site either, so just bought a little pocket Fuji digi camera instead. Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: yoda on October 18, 2005, 09:20:10 PM After much deliberation and speaking with yoda on the subject i have decided i want one of these. http://www.cameras2u.com/products/details.cfm?product=0210B014AA *sigh* Oi Jonny what about this - less money , and Is very very very nice http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/cameras/s9500/?lpage=/digital/cameras/range.php £400 from dabs.com (http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/cameras/s9500/images/example_pics/examplepic1.jpg) (http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/cameras/s9500/images/product4.jpg) Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: gypsy on October 19, 2005, 01:20:46 PM we got a great shot of the moon at the 3b's rally :D
Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: wizzkitt on October 19, 2005, 07:09:59 PM Jonnyfp,
Digital is the very work of Beelzebub himself. But if you've got to have one, then you can't go wrong with Canon's EOS range. I use all EOS equipment myself, and it's brilliant. It's cheaper to buy and maintain than Nikon, and it outranks comparable Nikons in quite a few areas. Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Manky Monkey on October 19, 2005, 08:47:18 PM Jonny! I'd recognise you anywhere!
Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: summer on October 20, 2005, 12:33:17 PM it's not good to say that about another bloke when you see a pic of his arse manky - tut tut
::) Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Manky Monkey on October 20, 2005, 12:41:46 PM It's alright, we're engaged, (don't tell Beccy ;)).
Written me that piece on your MG yet? Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: summer on October 20, 2005, 12:51:24 PM was I supposed to? did I agree to do that, or was it Kris?
cos you need to know he thinks I can read his mind sometimes - never tells me anything d'oh if it was me, then you need to know that my once keen memory is now rather like a saturated sponge - yep, my brian is soggy anyway, would you like the write-up on the current MG which just sits outside getting wet and not being driven anywhere ever, or would you prefer a write-up of my previoius MG which went on rallies, won night rallies, entered charity stuff at Croft and was my only means of transport for 2 years?? sebring replica you know you want to ;D Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Manky Monkey on October 20, 2005, 01:02:28 PM You've got a soggy Brian?
Yus please Missus, the rallying one sounds interesting. 500 or 600 words & a few photos on my desk by Monday please. ;D Seriously, I'm always trying to encourage others to contribute something -gives a bit more variety & makes it more interesting if there's more than one voice here. Write as much as you like, about just about anything you like, & email it to Yodie. tell him I sent you! How about a bit on your wedding? I keep meaning to write that up. Got lots of photos of it in the NABD report but no real explanation. I wrote a little bit on your Kwacka trike but you could always add to it -or rewrite it if you prefer. Sharpen up your crayons & get scribbling! By the way, I think most of Southern England have seen Jonny's arse, not just me. I think it's his standard greeting in polite company, which should endear him to Beccy's parents! :o Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: summer on October 20, 2005, 01:30:24 PM see I told you my brain was soggy - but my crayons are always sharp ;D
Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Manky Monkey on October 20, 2005, 09:20:22 PM Asked you for an MG write up in the "Rust Bucket" thread in General Discussion. Knew I had somewhere but took me ages to find it again!

Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: BikerGran on November 23, 2005, 06:37:14 PM Honest opinion?
The first one is ruined by the electric cables, the other two need to be much sharper to impress - that gleam of sun for instance, need to be more exaggerated. (They're all great pics for a personal album, I'm commenting on them re photographic excellence.) You might like to have a look Here (http://www.southernscenicphotography.co.uk/index.html) They're a bit over-dramatic for my taste but it's the quality of the pictures that impresses me. Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Jonnyfp on November 23, 2005, 10:33:56 PM Yeah i know what you mean about the blurring but the cables i quite liked like some ww1 thing goin on spose.
Hows this one. the compact digi cam i use is surprisingly clear if you put the right settings in and dont move...lol what about this un? Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Manky Monkey on November 25, 2005, 08:32:12 PM I like that one Jonny. Nothing dramatic but a very nice shot. Local to you?
Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Jonnyfp on November 25, 2005, 10:23:45 PM This was the site of one of Cromwells last battles.
Edgehill in Warwickshire and is said to be one of the only recognised Haunted site by a british government. Official secrets act says i cant tell you that you currently looking over 'DMC' Kineton which only appeared on maps in the nineties. Munitions dump apparently. Title: Re: Honest opinion Post by: Manky Monkey on November 25, 2005, 10:27:35 PM Cromwell's munitions dump? Wherever it is, it looks great. Nice composition. Very tranquil -or as tranquil as a munitions dump can be anyway! Liked the previous sunset piccie too.
