I believe there are quite a lot of parakeets living wild and breeding now.

They have a very distinctive shriek so we can always hear them when they fly over the cottage. We also get lesser spotted woodpeckers on the feeder & lots of Jays.

Today when I got home from work I was followed by a Pheasant up the garden. I got some peanuts out the tub that we keep them in and threw him a few and he ate them. Gradually the distance between us got less and less and withing 10mins he was close enough to eat out of my hand and wasn't at all phased by me moving about. I've called him Fred and will try to get photos of him when Manky is near with a camera. Anyway here are some more birds we have in the garden.
