does anyone know about tyre sizes ?
i have a spoked rear wheel with a 120 / 90 /17 tyre and was wondering if i could fit a 130 /90 /17 or wider if poss ?
its only 10 mm extra and it if i can it mean i could use the same tyre that i used on my z550 chop , theres no limit on width as i havent built the frame yet but i dont know what the maximum tyre width would be
any ideas ?
cheers

a 120/90/17 will fit on rims 2.50 - 3.00 with an overall width of 119
a 130/90/17 will fit on rims 2.50 - 3.50 """""""""""""""""""""""""""" of 129

120 / 90 /17
17 is the wheel diameter.
120 is the tyre width
90 is the aspect ratio (90% of the 120 width) thats the depth of the tyre from centre of tread to rim (not sure if measured as a staright line or the contour of the tyre).
