Thanks Tony, will think further into this one.
Seems there is a market for these, as I said, two of my 'demo' lighters sold within twenty four hours of posting pics of them!!

Wonder what else has a similar potential to the lighters? (you know, stuff we kinda use everyday but don't really think about) The kind of stuff that used to get given away at exhibitions. Mobile phone/computer accessories Drinking vessels (cups, thermal flasks) Key rings Posters/advertising Remote controls Blocks for holding kitchen knives Microwave oven / fridge / washing machine Don't recall ever seeing custom painted (steel) car wheels, as they're usually one colour, or alloys oh dear, I'm getting carried away again.......... time for more meds

As I said, I don't smoke, but something small that could be used to accessorise a custom vehicle would work. I recently saw miniature "jerry" cans, (metal fuel cans), in polished ali or stainless, about 6 inches square. That'd be cool.

Glass pint pots. I got my dad an old guys rule one for his birthday which has a big logo painted / transferred on. That'd be ideal.
