I just don't know.  Grin It was hard work and things took alot longer to get done. I love the internet. You do need some degree of knowledge of your chosen subject and common sense cos there is so much rubbish out there. If you don't know how to decipher it you can end up in right old muddle.

On the plus side I managed to ID that Harley Davidson monkey bike. And find a place in holland that sells spares! All in the space of an hour this morning.

Got some more work done on the the XS today. Turned out the inside of the cush drive to take the bearing seal.

Started cleaning all the suspension components ready for painting. A big bag of aluminium oxide arrived this morning. Works a treat.

I'm deeply jealous of your workshop! Especially the flowery wallpaper behind your lathe.  Smiley

Grin I wanted a well equipped workshop all my adult life and over the past 8 months it's all come together. It's never big enough though!!!!

If any of you need to use any of the facilities then your welcome to come up. Or send me the details of what you need you and I will try and sort it.

I just love making stuff Grin

The flowery wallpaper is infact a curtain cos there is a huge window at the back to let in lots of lovely natural light but if dare not leave it all on view.

Will probably tryand get something more in keepin with the triker biker theme rather than that chintzy thing.

Oh Manky

ere's a piccie of the forks. (minus the top yoke but i do have it!)

I beleive that the distance between spindle an bottom yoke is 26.5"

Made up all the brake brackets and Rear brake hoses today. Converted the Inlet on the remote servo to an imperial banjo fitting and turned the motor over for the first time too! Grin It's all working fine.

Found out what the wiring is for on the XS1100. Bloody odd system for a bike from 1978! tilt switches to shut off the ignition. ripped that out cos if it operates on a Trike somethings very wrong self canceling indicators and emergency lighting relays Shocked Huh

Yeah. Took a while to get my head around. It always seemed like a dark art to me. Fairly straight forward when you get the basic principles sorted.  Huh

Also do a lot of work with LEDS so have a bit of an advantage. Made these lamps for home using luxeon 3 watt LEDS and intend using leds built into the trike for all the lights except headlight. Grin

Spent so much time messing around with trikes and bikes that had faults and not knowing what I was doing i decided to make a concerted effort to learn it.
