Hope it's high density foam SB, or when you sit on it, it'll squish down to the metal base -not at all comfy, as I discovered on Flap's when we had a bolt-on pillion seat made. The guy made a nice job of it, but used normal domestic furniture foam. You need the stuff that's made up of lots of little chunks glued together into a block, or closed cell foam. There's a guy at the Kempton autojumbles who sells it.

Mr Bags has sorted his prop shaft now. Rather than a solid tube, it uses a rubber "donut" sandwiched between 2 specially machined plates, which gives a much smoother power delivery to the diff, as used on a lot of autos & larger engines.
After several phone calls he eventually found one from a Mercedes 300. The mounting bolt PCD had to be a suitable size to clear the flange mounting bolts at the end of the prop.
Looks good. Very professional.

Seat has been covered, footpegs both front and rear have been made,a removeable rack has been crafted and also the mudguard stays have been bent up,pedals for both front and rear brakes ( fronts on the left rear on the right )have been made they all await welding at the moment.Im going to fabricate an ally radiator to mimic the downtubes of the frame, fingers crossed it'll work. Two master cylinders arrived yesterday and two mounting plates were made to suit, gonna mount the master cylinders in front of the footpegs to keep the rear of the trike looking stremlined.Didn't like the engine mounts so took the grinder to them and machined a mounting face and tapped hole in the footpegs, much nicer, pics to follow tommorrow.

I'm deeply jealous! You can do in a few hours what would take me weeks to achieve.
So, err, how long would it take to make my pedal linkages?   Grin

Saw this last week and it looks fab!

Lots of thought has gone into the build and the parts fabricated by Mr Saddlebags are top banana!

However even with all the technology at his disposal it takes a lot of time and effort to produce even the simplest of pieces!

Well done mate lookin forward to seeing it finished!

An update on Mr SaddleBags' trike:
I saw it this afternoon & he's steaming ahead. Definitely gonna be on the road before me at this rate. Footpegs, pedals & master cyclinders are on & working beautifully.

Battery box is made & fitted.
Backrest is bolted to the luggage rack. The whole rack/rest unit can be removed with two bolts for solo riding. Looking good Scott.
