Thanks,
I've been airbrushing for a while now, and am lucky to have the expert advice and use of proper body shop facilities of my mate Ron.
Also I have to say that I definately couldn't have got to this stage of build without a lot of help from mates, mainly Dean who is a top notch welder.
Mates eh, where would we be without them?

here's a little update on the progress of the tank.
Thought i'd just show a bit of the different stages of doing the airbrush work, not too detailed so hopefully not too dull!
First is the design put on using fineline tape.
Then the really exciting bit of masking it all up.

Then it's painted, and finally unmasked and freehand in all the highlights and shadows.
It's now ready for laquer which will make the colours really stand out, more pics at the weekend with it hopefully finished and on.

Got the tank finished and managed to get it on without damage! the pic's a bit crap but you get the idea.

Tonight was a great night, got the mudguards, marker lights and the rear lights all fitted. No more welding on the frame, Hurrah!
The only major headache left is sorting out the exhaust, I have a 4 into 1 but it only leaves me with 2" ground clearance so I don't suppose anyone has a 4 into 2 or 4 single pipes that they would like rid of do they? or is there any exhaust maker type people that would like to give me some idea of price for making one?

Nearly there & lookin' great!
If you can build the trike the exhaust should be easy shouldn't it? Lots of places sell pre-formed bends for less than a tenner each -Demon Tweeks spring to mind as I bought some mild steel ones for my own trike from them a couple of weeks ago. They do stainless too. If you can get the exhaust to cylinder head flanges made up, or re-use the originals, it's just a matter of stitching together the appropriate bends & bunging on an after-market silencer. I've knocked up a simple system for my trike like that & will use it as a pattern to have a stainless copy made at a later date.

These are very nice people and will build you a fabulous exhaust - but I think you might need lots of pennies!
