I'm not working well under pressure -no enjoyment in my build at all at the moment. Just a feat of endurance to get it through the test. I sympathise mate. Good luck!

cheers Clive , turns out it wasnt a bad experiance in fact id say it was easier than an MOT . there was lots of things i wooried about like the tires, wich caused a last minute tyre change only for him to say he wasnt concered about the tread limit as long as it had a dot or emark and was rated for the speed declaired .

well chuffed though , went straight to the DVLA and asked whats next , the man gave me a form and told me the cost £55.00 fee for registration and then the cost of road tax . he said get some insurance and come back with 2 forms of id , 1 for proof of address and 1 to prove i am me .

got it insured with bike sure for £275 fully comp on a £4 K agreed policy , the guy was pretty helpfull but he asked how i worked out the value of the bike since i built it my self  Huh all i could say is that id easilly pay that for it , i mean how the hell do you work out the value of something you made yourself .

may even be on the road by the weekend but with all the msva stuff still on .... mainly cause i havent made my tailight yet  Cheesy

How cool is that! Just proves it can be done -you can build a beautiful, one-off machine, completely legally.
Congratulations!

cheers Rod ,

Mr MM , i think i followed the standard route , went to the dvla office told em that i built a bike and they gave me a form to fill out , then i got my vin number issued and had to get a garage to stamp it saying the frame had been stamped correctly and then msva and back to the dvla to fill out the reg form pay £55 quid for reg and £70 odd for road tax

dont think i did anything different to anyone else  Tongue
