Ouch ! Sheet steel has a nasty habit of doing that. Is the tank thick enough for the screws to hold and seal with a gasket or will you be bonding the pump/sender to the tank ?

I’m making a flange for underneath, in two horseshoes, then bolts up through, and nuts and gasket holding the lid down, well, that is today’s plan 🥴

Bit of history made today, after toiling in the mid day sun, I hooked a battery to the wiring, temporary lead to the fuel pump and Earth, and low and behold it fired up almost instantly 😱. To say I’m chuffed is an understatement. So now I can attach the body work proper. Move forward 👍

3 years on, and it has today driven under its own power. only a trip out of the cave onto the drive way but it felt good to finally get some movement. Still a whack to do
