P.S. the duck is a female, you can tell by the colouring, Male mallards have shiny green heads, a white collar and are mainly grey with a brown chest and a yellow beak.
Very nice to see the wild birds tho.

Donald's long-time girlfriend is Daisy Duck (who is also his cousin), and is constantly vying for her affections with his other cousin, the "Lucky Duck," Gladstone Gander.
Hope this helps, Zippy.

Ok another wildlife animal. We've called it Sammy as the name can be for both Male or Female.

Very appropriate since the snail itself is both male and female!
Used to be dozens of snails in my front garden years ago and it was fascinating to watch them mating! Can't have been very succesful tho cos there only seem to be a few now.

Were they too fast for you? It's amazing what people send through the post. A couple of months ago our sorting office was awash with black cricket type insects after a boxful broke open. With all the health & safety legislation these days I'm suprised you're allowed to send live insects in the post, but we get them regularly.

Today when I got home from work I was followed by a Peasant up the garden. I got some peanuts out the tub that we keep them in and threw him a few and he ate them. Gradually the distance between us got less and less and withing 10mins he was close enough to eat out of my hand and wasn't at all phased by me moving about. I've called him Fred and will try to get photos of him when Manky is near with a camera. damn peasants can be a nuisance

Fred the Pheasant paid me a visit yesterday and this time I managed to get some photos. I put my knee in the photo just to show how close he was to me. When Manky got home he appeared again so I showed him my new friend Still not tame enough to touch but maybe one day.
