Just embarking on a small!  project. I have to change the water pump on my old V6 Galaxy. I know this is going to be hard cos the instructions say  "disconnect the exhaust and jack up the right side of the engine" - Nice!

Did it Smiley - Just in case anyone has a galaxy with a goosed water pump here are the stages:

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly
2. Remove the radiator grille (need to remove the indicators to get at the fixing bolts)
3. Remove the right-hand headlamp assembly
4. Remove the headlamp shield upper fixing.
5. Remove the headlamp shield lower fixings and release the hose.
6. Remove the headlamp shield retaining bolt.
7. Remove the headlamp shield. Remove the two clips and manouvre the shield upwards.
15. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts.
16. De-tension the drive belt and disengage it from the pulleys. Use an M8 x 80 bolt to release the tension.
17. Remove the drive belt tensioner.
18. Remove the water pump pulley.
19. Remove the two right hand engine mount nuts.
21. Using a long bar, gently move the engine to the left and remove the water pump.

No need to remove the exhast and tension bar and to jack up the engine, as all the instructions tell you!!
