hi
bought a land rover master cylinder to work my trike brakes,but does anyone know what thread is on the operating rod,its not metric as ive only metric taps and already tried running a tap through the rods locking nut

help appreciated,want to get my brake operating rod made  Cheesy

Why is the thread important? Cant you chop off the threaded part and re- thread using metric?

wont be much rod left if i chop the original thread off,would like to keep the original length rod so i have enough adjustment if needed...good idea tho rod,it had crossed my mind  Smiley

Merlin Motorsport sell replacement ones for £6.85 advertised as +35mm.
Overall length 4 1/2 inches, (about 115mm). Looks to be 5/16 UNF thread.
I bought one last week cos I didn't have a rod for the cylinder on my Pop project.

as for the master cylinder rod,i will have to measure it up when im next over my yard where my trike is stored at present...
