Not sure if been done before etc,but.......A guy I know has posted about this idea on Trike Doctor. Bare with me......Take a FWD car with a flatish bonnet line, chop it off at the 'a' pillars at bottom of screen. Bring the rear panel with lights etc forward and use it to close the open 'back end' .Lock the wheels facing forwards.Build a frame /forks out the front . Seat would be very approximately on the front edge of the bonnet. Seems to me a good idea,as all the lights etc would be there, and also the car front susp .(which would be the rear susp on the trike.) Wiring etc would all be there,as would all the bodywork.

you would have to turn the engine/gearbox through 180 deg or you would have 1 foward speed and several reverse... i think

No the engine/transmission are still pointing in the right direction.

Suppose it's possible but question is why would you do it except to see if you could. Much easier if you're that perverse is to use a rear engined car like an Imp. Front and rear are very similar in shape and at least then the gear linkage will be in the right direction and no worries about locking the steering.  Skoda  MGf  PORSCHE
Oh God more ideas! Think I'll go have a lay down.

I reckon that's exactly why Rod would do it!

Appoligies for Drawing quality, I'm no Clive but all my designs have started out as a cartoon like sketch.

Many years ago there was a green VW trike with the front wings used as rear mudguards. It still had the headlights mounted in them, so had 2 full sized car headlights & nice uncluttered forks, (girders I think). I thought it was a really clever solution.
