thank you both. like the wheels.
was given the box section, but point taken, and round would look so much nicer... spose I'd better stretch to it.

this is a new thing for me, a trike, so appreciate any help. enjoying the travelling hopefully before I start building too.

Trikes are great!  Everybody loves a triker - kids, old ladiesm truckers, everybody!  Sometimes I wish I could still ride a bike but mostly I just sit back and enjoy!

Well I don't sit back a lot but I do enjoy!

Welcome TM!

Hi TM.
We used 4 spoke Capri wheels when we built Muffin's Reliant trike.

Taz wanted wide wheels on her build, so we had as set of Morris Minor steel rims "banded", (widened), by 4 inches to produce 8 inch wide rims. Moggies use the same bolt pattern as Reliants.

Yeah, sorry, you replied before I had a chance to correct that! You're right, they were Revolutions, courtesy of my brother, Brock.

There's been some real nasty -downright dangerous examples of banded wheels that've tarnished their image in the past, but with better engineering, they're a lot safer these days. The guy who did ours was in Croydon I think, (been a couple of years since they were done & my memory's getting worse by the day). He bands wheels for race cars, which probably take a bigger beating than anything we'll give 'em just cruising around. Cost about 40 quid per wheel.
I wouldn't put my missus on anything I didn't trust.
