Finally got round to doing a bit more on this today!

Part 3.

First, the design for the dragons was laid out using a photocopy of the pic and some Tracedown underneath (it's a kind of carbon paper that comes in various colours, but wipes off)

I then found that none of my metallic paints wouldn't give me the level of detail I wanted, so I decided to use my Posca Paint Pens to lay the design down with. I am also kind of painting it in reverse so it'll look crap at the start, and (hopefully!!) get better as I go along. The pens also give the design a little bit of 'texture' to the body! I'll line it with black in the end to give a 'tattoo-y' feel, and then add the detail with transparent black afterwards.

Part 4.

Spent an hour or so on this this morning.

Finished off laying the gold of the dragon .

After that, using a fine Posca marker, I added all the black 'tattoo' lines in!

And finally broke out the airbrush!!! Using Transparent black, I've shaded the dragon to give a bit of depth, and given the meatl 'tears' a look of folding. Highlights followed using a reduced white, and finally some 'shadows' with the trans black again! A layer of top coat to protect it, and then.............start on the other side sometime this week!

As an aside, I managed to finish this too! (and a guitar for a PAYING customer!!!! Cheesy)

Slow & ponderous -I think I'm more of a sloth than a Monkey.
That's some amazing work there Clive. I'll be engaging your services to airbrush a faded, scrubbed out version of the website logo on the doors of my Pop when it's, (eventually), finished I think.

Whenever you need it done buddy, just shout! As discussed though, I'd just need the doors as I unfortunately don't have the room here to do them when they're on!
