These days he is more likely to be arrested!

I wouldn't like to make an enemy of him. I should watch out Baychimp. Or is that "man up the street" really you? Come on, you can share your evil ways with us, honest, we won't judge.   Shocked   Wink  Cheesy

Well, after last night, I have changed my mind. I really enjoyed seeing all the kids dressed up, they were all polite and seemed to be in really good spirits. Most had a parent waiting at the end of the drive, some of those also were dressed up. Cost me £3-00 for multibag of choccie bars and a couple of apples each from the orchard. The grand finale were 3 six form girlies dressed up as zombies, dressed up may be an exaggeration, clothes all ripped and bloody, holes in their fishnets and hair a mess, plus they had the "must have" Vodka bottle accessory, they made my evening, even though they were giggling wrecks. I'm quite looking forward to next year now Grin Grin

So.... Not all that bad is it?
Had the pleasure of taking my niece, my daughter and granddaughter trick or treating at the local houses who were up for it. They were the ones with either pumpkins or other decorations on show.
Didn't bother with my immediate neighbours cos they turn all lights off and sit in their bedroom and don't answer the door.
Biggest treat for me was one door being opened by a lady dressed as a very sexy looking witch. Sad of me to be so easily pleased?

Grin My next door but one neighbours Sandra & Dean run the Hearse Register, with a garden full of Hearse, Halloween is right up their street, they have been decorating their garden and vehicles all week. Through the course of the evening they had a steady flow of trick or treaters even JJ came up with her grandson.

And who said DDDDD DA LEKS could join in. (JAY JAY)

One of my wheels had dropped off so I had to use a stick (he didn't tell me he was taking that one).

I bought the dalek outfit ages ago for my grandsons only to find out it was adult size. I only wore it to wind my grandson up. He was not impressed. Isn't that what Grandmas are for?   Roll Eyes  Embarrassed  Smiley

I came across this outfit (no pun intended) on the web. I thought this was very inventive. Made me smile anyway.  Cheesy

Yep, it's not the dressing up or the going begging from door to door I object to, it's the "Trick or Treat" bit.  Maybe I'll start a campaign to go back to its prper BRITISH name!

We usually get 30 or more kids knock on the door altogether so we bought the usual amount chocolate bars etc, we only had 3 groups of 2 or 3 this time so it looks like that diets out of the window again for a while,  Cheesy .

You could dress up and go round knocking on doors and giving the chocolate away - but you'd probably get arrested!

Have to admit I was pleasantly surprised this year. I live within walking distance of the town centre in Basingstoke, Hampshire & although the street's normally fairly quiet, you do get the odd rowdy drunk wobbling home from the pub in the early hours, so I'd expected loud mouthed teenagers.
No Halloween hassle at all though. The street was teeming with excited small children, chaperoned by parents & there was a real party atmosphere. It began around 5.30 in the evening & was all over by 7pm.
No complaints, just families having fun -so I'm happy to retract my previous statement, but still think it's over-hyped & commercialised.
