I also this Zodiac, If ever I won the lottery I would hunt this down and pay whatever he wanted...
My grandfather died of a heart attack over the bonnet of his Mk2 Zodiac while polishing it, the car was totally immaculate. My mother sold the car for £30 coz they couldn't bare to look at it...

Jeez, nice way to go though. Is that one of my Wheelsday piccies?! I'm deeply jealous of Dave_Postie's mark 2 Consul, (it's in the Motors section). I've actually tried to persuade him to part with it but with no luck -so far. One of the local Tech College lecturers runs a beat up old black Zodey with a red roof. Very cool. I love the used look, rather than squeeky clean & immaculate.
Nice location for the coupe pic but the proportions look a little strange. Very long bonnet & unusually small diameter wheels. Still a nice car though.Â
Here's Dave's "Connie" but that's not him -it's his stunt double, brought in for the T shirt shots.

That reminds me of a rough looking "29 Tudor" that did the rounds in Street Machine & Custom Car circa 79/80, it was all steel, no paint (apart from primer here & there), but the mechanics were big bucks, and thats the way he liked it.
I wonder if it's still around....

Yeah, rust seems to be this year's chosen finish doesn't it. Difficult to achieve on my fibreglass '27 T body though!

Yeah, Steve & I discussed it a while ago -something like a mix of matt black & russet sprayed from a long distance so it's almost dry when it hits the car. A few patches of flat grey or silver then flat it all back so it looks patchy. That kind of thing?
The other option is a very pale duck egg green. Used to be used on machine tools, lathes etc years ago. There was a Harley in BSH done in exactly that shade last year. Was on show at the NEC. I got chatting to the owner at the Billing rodrun. It was a copy of a posh interior design colour. Would look very cool on a rod I think.

You could get some stick on rust patches from Halfords.

That's a scary looking beast. I love those ultra low-slung sedans.
