Don't know if anyone watched it or even if anyone's interested but I see that there was a prog on telly last night where Richard Hammond met Evel Knievel. I haven't seen it yet but it's available on BBC iplayer.

It was a repeat Lady M. We saw it a few months ago, but watched it again last night. Quite disturbing really. Evil was Hammond's boyhood hero, but when he travelled to the States to meet him, he didn't quite come up to his expectations. Obviously a brave guy, but when you look back at his stunts now, he actually wasn't very good at it, crashing & seriously injuring himself almost every time. The young stunt riders of today could probably out-do him easily, but don't have the same knack for publicity that he had. Quite a sobering little documentary -maybe childhood heros should be left as fond memories & not revisited.

I didn't have a telly before Taz came along. Still a bit of a novelty.
