Title: Big Pit: National Coal Museum, Blaenafon. Post by: cunningplan on March 24, 2009, 08:23:52 PM A great place to visit if your ever in South Wales, free entry and as long as you are not claustrophobic you can spend quite a few hours looking around the site.
Been there 3 times so far taking family and friends (Brock & Mrs Brock) and will be going again this year no doubt. http://www.museumwales.ac.uk/en/bigpit/ Also not far from Valley Boy, (You been there?) Post by: VALLEYSBOY on March 24, 2009, 08:48:45 PM used to pass it every day, was on my route to work, took kids there and flat land family members, tis a good day out or rather different if yuhs never been down a pit, the pity about it is the entire village surrounding has all but been demolished bar a few streets so for me it seriously lacks the feel and look of a mining town
