Sharpness docks
Correct Merv! And the boats are at Purton. As Olds said an interesting area, the vessels are from all era's, brought up the River Severn and beached along side the bank of the Sharpness Canal to reinforce it as the Canal is built right up against the river. After the bank was breached in 1909 the Ships were used as a tidal erosion barrier, isn't it wonderful the things you can learn off one of those information boards they put up in these places.
A great place to visit on a summers day if you are down that way. But if you go in the Winter on windy overcast day with no one around, its a bleak desolate place, but I quite like it that way, more atmosphere.
