The slot that's cut out is to fit a l.e.d strip light that incorporates tail and brake light also indicators. Obviously the main lights will be down on the mudguards.

I did that with the forks of my 400 Superdream - it had been standing in the open for two years. Exciting seeing them coming back to what they should be!
I used a paint on lacquer afterwards - many coats! Lasted for years.

I know its been a while, still working on it slowly. I now need a pair of brake calipers and carriers, been looking on ebay and got my self all confused which isn't hard. Could someone point me in the right direction please. it would be much appreciated.
