The 2013 post showed a complete engine that ended up selling for £3,100. ("Jeez" said Sir Manky)
Jump forwards to 2020, and a dismantled, "virtually complete" engine (see pics) on ebay has just sold for...…….. £3,800, which would suggest that a complete engine, as per the 2013 engine, could well have made a fair bit more!
If the "virtually complete" engine needs new bearings, shells, bushes, gaskets, rings etc, there's few more pennies reqd to get to a state so that it could run.
If someone bought the 2013 engine at £3100, kept it until now and sold it for £3,800, that means a £700 increase in 7 years...….

Its been a while since the last post/parts have come up for sale, but a certain internet auction website has a few Nourish (Dave Nourish was the builder from Weslake who took over the twin cylinder engines) engine components from a 500cc twin.
As mentioned in the thread, these aren't run-of-the-mill engines, and guess what, the asking prices kinda reflect this ('Jeez' has said Sir Manky). It'll be interesting to see what these go for...………..
There's a bare cylinder head (minus valves etc) and a pair of magnesium crank cases.
The Buy it Now price is £980 for the head, with bidding starting at £700.
The Buy it Now price is £900 for the cases, with bidding starting at £600.

Not an engine this time, but two complete up-and-running motorcycles from different vendors found on an internet auction website this week.
First is a Norton Featherbed Slimline framed 900cc Weslake / Nourish engine dyno'd at 72BHP. Bidding from £11,500

I think the Norton is beautiful.
The second one is beautiful too - till I notice the front mudguard which just isn't right, it's hits me like a slap in the face!

Recently spotted this rare Triumph TSX T140 engine (the factory 8 valve head variant), fully rebuilt which went for £3,350 on a certain internet auction site.
