When I grow up I want to be a 2CV.  Giant African Land Snail
Our snail Brian. Five years ago it was the size of a grain of rice, now you need two hands to hold securely.

What's a snail like as a pet?  Does it know you?  Does it like being handled?  Has it got a personality?

As a pet it's easy to look after. No having to go out in the rain for walks or vets bills. It seems to quite like being handled but that is possibly just the warmth of your hands. Not a lot of personality and it's not the sort of pet you can cuddle. We only have it because my daughter was given it when at college. Not a slimy as one might think and the shell grows from the front edge.
Think it might be a bit too tough too eat.
