"Shakespeare County Raceway", Avon Park or Long Marston Airfield, depending how old you are, just outside Stratford on Avon.
Just as it says on the tin, hotrods & drag racing. One of the biggest rod & race meets of the year. Well worth a look.

Yup, that's my big bruv, Steve. "Brock" on the forum. He was lining up for his turn to race. Not a good weekend for him though, as I hope he'll put into words soon. Sheared a pin on his steering, fortunately as he did his burn out on the startline & not halfway down the track. So he retired early. A good weekend's meet though. The rod crowd are very friendly & some of the faces I've snapped before are starting to recognise either me or the MMMotors shirt & giving me a wave as they rumble past now -at least I think it's a wave.

Yeah, knew there's a couple of Capri nuts here so took that one just for you! It was running a 3.5 V8 Rover motor. The door mirrors are the same ones I've got on my Honda.
Very pretty semi Goth girl sat on the bonnet of the Vauxhall was one of the few who's ever said No to having their piccie took -must be losing my touch. Said she was too shy. Not sure what was under the bonnet but loved the bonkers 'charger trumpet.

Thanks to Steve for emailing me a link to the Wacky Racers' site. Check it out for more info on the Vauxhall.
