Grin We had a visit from Scottie a couple of days ago & he mentioned he was visiting the Pig Pen. So is the saloon bodied one the old Tiki Munki shell?
The black 'un's the Black Pig. So who else has taken up residence?
How long before my big bro goes pro & turns this hobby into a business then?

hmm, Andy`s got the easy one  Cheesy.
Cunning Coupe is in the foreground and i`m guessing the original Black Pig is on the right in the background, which would leave the grey chassis and the white saloon?

Loony, his Dad, Dave, & I paid a visit to the PigPen this afternoon.
For me, it was a chance to offload Steve & Lesley's Christmas pressies -I haven't seen my brother & sis in law since the last drag meet back in September of last year.
Loony hopefully arranged a future paintjob. And Dave was just along for the ride.  Smiley -O.K, we went in his car.
Nice to see my big bro again & workshop buddy Graham. Hi guys.  Wink
This is the white fibreglass bodied car from the previous pics.
The body's very loosely based on a 1930s Ford model A saloon, but narrowed & shortened into a single seater unit. These shells are used for circuit racing in the States -similar to our stock car races. They're not intended to last more than a few meets, so the quality ain't great.
The car's owner lives on the Isle of Wight & Steve's doing a spot of remodelling & re-engineering for him.
Engine's a Rover V8 -same as I've got in my hotrod project. Mr Brock's currently TIG welding up the zoomie exhaust headers. Knowing how noisy my own motor was when we fired it up with pipes 4 times as long as these, this is gonna be LOUD!
I spent ages looking for some engine mods we could steal for our rod, but seems this is a fairly standard Rover unit. I'm curious to know how it performs.

With the bodyshell lifted off, you can see there's a second, aluminium body tub underneath. The A body's really just for show, giving the racer the nostalgic look that's very "in" at the moment. This car's been campaigning in more or less this guise for 30 years now, so it was long overdue for a bit of a spruce up.
Some deep thinking -& a bit of texting, going on in the background there.

Scottie was just leaving the shop as we arrived, taking his Tiki Munki dragster home.
This 2 litre Pinto engined car was star of the cover & centre spread of last month's Custom Car magazine. It shares a very similar style with the Rover.
