The 1980s sci fi classic "Blade Runner", starring Harrison Ford as a cop hunting down androids in a futuristic city, was set in November 2019 -meaning that as from today, it's set in the past.

Funny enough I started watching it last month - still haven't finished - and I noticed the date. I best get out my knee length boots and my see thru plastic mac, as they're not that old fashioned after all!

I was in Akihambara, a borough of Tokyo City, back in April. It's known as "Electric City" because it's full of games arcades & computer repair shops. Apparently it was the inspiration for the look of the city in Blade Runner.
