Never had you down as a Ted. Is that scene still alive then? Where do you go in all your velvetty finery? You look like a bouncer! So let's see this waistcoat of yours then!
I belong to the Basingstoke Blues Club but it's strictly a jeans & sweat shirt kinda place. Shame really. It'd be nice to add some life to it. There's a rock & roll club that meets at the pub in Twickenham where the Chop & Rod show was held last month but I've forgotten the pub name! You a Londoner Borgy?

Well I live in West Wales but I used to live in London.  I was a Ted there in the late 70's-80's. I was in the Army as well.

Funny enough I used to be a bouncer Smiley

I wear it out around town here now and then. I don't really go to any R n R things although I wanted to go to a few weekender's but things got in the way.

I'm into the fashion and style more than the R n R but I do have a like for Hot Rods and 50's 60's cars and stuff.

I'm after a classic Brit car at the moment and have a thread on 100% regarding a car at the moment.

"If your name's not on the list you're not coming in".
A lot of bikers seem to share an interest in cars too. You should try the Executioners' meets at the Ace Cafe. Have you seen the coverage of the HotRod drags & Nostalgia drags in the Rally/Show Photos bit? You'd have loved 'em. Not just custom stuff, plenty of very cool classic Brits too. Loads of guys there in all the 50s gear who really live the whole lifestyle.
I bought a fibreglass body shell & chassis for a '27 Ford track T a few months ago. My brother Steve's got a spare Rover V8 motor & auto box for me, (I hope!), & I've just bought an old Sherpa van on Ebay to supply the beam axle & steering. Got to collect it from Cardiff somehow now!

I was looking at Triumph Heralds, You can still get tidy ones with MOT for £500ish but they only do 25 MPG

I did have a Magnum which I wanted to put a diesel engine in but sold it on, say it sat rotting in a hedge a year ago and was gutted.

I'll scan some pics of it next for you

I like Magnums, especially the white chocolate ones.
My first car was a metallic green Vauxhall Viva. Aah, happy memories.

We had a Triumph Herald hard top coupe back in ... something like 1969 - sweetest gearchange I ever used!  Strange I-frame chassis with outriggers that rotted faster than anything!  Had to have them replaced and it cost a fortune.  Lovely car tho.

Dunno that I have actually.

Must get the old phots out and see whats worth scanning.  Then if I get some clever person to sort out the software for my scanner I might be able to put them on me pooter...

Got some of the narrow gauge railway where we used to play trains every other weekend......

And the Mark 1 Cortina that we rallied....

Send 'em in! Email anything you think would interest people to Yoda & ask him nicely to add 'em to the site. No elitism here. I'm happy to host anything automotive. Just cos we happen to be bikers doesn't mean we can't enjoy other rides -missus!
