This weekend I went to Cwmwennol Country House, in Wales, with my Mum, Step Dad and 4 of their friends and 2 dogs, (Pip and Ruby). A wonderful hotel set in Swallowtree woods, Saundersfoot. The Building dates back to the 1870s when it used to be the private residence of the manager of the Vickerman Estate. Vicki and Roy now run the hotel and they have a wonderful relaxed atmosphere there. You can take your dogs with you too. There is also an enclosed area just off the bar where you can sit in the evening and watch Badgers and Foxes feeding on the treats they put out every evening, (consisting of Toast and veg leftovers). You can walk for ages in the woods and if you walk down to the coast, (2 mins away), and the tide is out you can actually walk accross the beach along the coast line to Saundersfoot.

Here is a link to their web site. Cwmwennol Country House

There are quite a few steps in the Hotel and the Hills around it can be steep so not somewhere I would recomend if you struggle with mobility but otherwise it's well worth a visit.

Some Badgers and Foxes that we watched. I do have a picture of 3 Badgers together but they are on Manky's computer. Yes there is a cat in some of the pictures and it was really funny watching it beat up the Fox.
