has anyone got a 16 inch square (ish) profile front tyre for sale,i need one for my trike. original size is 110-90-16.

You used to be able to get Avon Tourist from Great Longstone tyres down the road from here Trev but I think they were bigger than 16". They are proper square and I used them on other outfits, think they are only speed rated to about 70mph though. After I had one delaminates at (err high) speed I swapped to Metzlers that had like a smooth close block tread, like a road going off road tyre. Very good they were now but no use at all for your thread Smiley

hi nabs,the one i,ve got isn,t square profile its a dunlop d404f tubed,its about as close as i can get and brand new for £25.00,is avertised as for a big cruiser and are selling for about £80.00 on ebay.

what about an Avon SM? 5-16 in an almost square profile.... not cheap though about the same as your quote I think... the tyre on the right mate..

do you know if it would fit my rim,its 250x16 and the tyresize is110-90-16,i would prefer that one but i,d have to save up,thanks for the info.

Trev, Go onto the M&P site, and check out the Michelin M45 tyre range, I have bought 3 of these tyres for my "3" build, one 16" and 2x18", and their profile seems ok for that type of application.They come out at £32 each, inc. of Vat etc,so worth a look, Morrag

hi morrag,i could only find 18 inch m45 type,but oddly enough thats where i bought my other tyre from,i might give them a ring and see what they,ve got,thanks for the info.
